Note

While the steel lid has a very sturdy finish on it, it is made from steel and WILL rust over time.

How fast depends on how clean & dry you keep them, and what type of soap, dishwashing detergent, or lotion you keep in them. Detergents such as Dawn, Palmolive, and others will corrode the metal much faster than natural liquid soap will. You could try a spray sealer on the lid after you receive it.

With that said I have one in the Summer Kitchen that has been doing great for the past 4 years without trouble with rust. When it does start to rust honestly I think I will be ready for a new style dispenser anyway. :)

You will want to take your lid and pump apart from time to time and wash them with warm water. These are not dishwasher safe.

Sorry, this sounds harsh but I have had so many complaints about rusted lids and shock over it when it was so simple to read the entire listing before purchase.
