The house always smelled of Chanel No. 5 and baked cookies, a comforting blend of elegance and warmth. The reading room, tucked at the back of the house, was a sanctuary of peace and nostalgia. It was lined with cedar trees, and the cut granite back steps, worn with time, led up to the room, framed by an old iron rail painted in a soft baby blue. This fragrance captures that space—rich with memories, steeped in floral and earthy aromas, and full of the comforting stillness of time well spent.
