A Winter Keepsake for the Vanity Table
A classic 1930s–40s pressed-glass powder dish crowned with a warm brass Art Deco lid — glowing, geometric, and quietly elegant. This is a piece with presence: ridged glass, a raised crest motif, and a brass top etched with fine Deco linework that catches winter light just so.
Found in a small vintage shop on a warm May trip through Vermont — a day spent wandering back roads, looking at old farm properties, a brookside picnic, Buddy snuffling along the mossy banks. The shopkeeper had just put the dish out that morning, polished and ready, certain it would “go to someone who truly loves old beauty.” She was right.
Each piece in this series is restored gently by hand and paired with our handmade Lavender Dragée powder — a soft sugared blend of lavender and almond that recalls the earliest stillroom vanities and ribboned boxes of perfumed powder.
Mixed to order in the mountain-house stillroom, where winter work is slow and thoughtful. Finely milled for a velvety finish; fragranced with a soft, close-to-you warmth.
