Vintage Avon Crystalique Powder Dish
A complete powder ritual · gathered for everyday use.
Found Again · Rooted in the Stillroom Tradition

Everything needed to bring powder back to the vanity table: a vintage Avon Crystalique powder dish, 2 oz of Lavender Dragée dusting powder, a soft powder puff, and a vintage Oneida Prestige silver-plated spoon.
The powder arrives separately in its stillroom envelope, ready to be spooned into the dish and used after bathing or before dressing.
Kept. Used. Loved.
Lavender Dragée
Lavender Dragée recalls an old compact lifted from a rose-lined vanity drawer. Lavender, scented paper, soft powder, and a delicate sugared note come together in a fragrance that feels familiar, even when the memory itself cannot quite be named.
Finely milled, talc-free, and cornstarch-free, it leaves the skin softly finished with a gentle fragrance that stays close.
This is lavender meant to be lived with, not saved.
Ingredients: Arrowroot, clay, essential and natural oils.
Dragée (n.) a sugared confection, pastel and delicate; once tucked into lace sachets or silver boxes to sweeten the air and delight the senses.
An exclusive scent available only with the vanity sets.
The Avon Crystalique Dish
The Avon Crystalique powder dish is a familiar mid-century classic, made of weighty pressed glass with a radiating fan-and-petal pattern that catches the light across the lid and bowl.
It is sturdy, generous, and decorative without being too delicate for everyday use.
This is the dish I once carried up the side of the mountain on snowshoes for a two-week winter stay. I packed it carefully because it was solid, familiar, and useful. It mattered to have powder there, just as it always had.
That is why I still seek these dishes out: not for rarity, but because they continue to do their work beautifully.
The Puff and Silver-Plated Spoon
A soft powder puff rests beneath the lid. Each puff comes in soft ivory or vintage dusty pink and is finished with a small sewn bow.
The spoon is genuine vintage new old stock from Oneida Prestige, in the much-sought-after Distinction pattern introduced in 1951. It is silver-plated and comes tied with a vintage-inspired ribbon.
These spoons have never been placed into ordinary household use, although they may show a soft patina or faint signs of their many years in storage.

Wrapped in the Stillroom
I assemble and wrap each set by hand in the stillroom. The dish is wrapped archive-style in paper and cotton string. The powder is tucked into a stillroom envelope and secured beneath the twine with a brass fastener.
The paper label is applied by hand using traditional wheat paste. The paste is used only on the outside label and never comes into contact with the powder.
