Field No. 122 — Sugared Sap
Botanical icon: Goldenrod & Clover Bundle · Collection: Honeyed & Hearth
Softly scented. Nostalgically Made. Rooted in the Stillroom Tradition.

The scent of sugaring season in New England, captured in powder. Sap boiled over wood fire, steam rising into the clear air, snow still deep beneath the maples. Sugared Sap recalls that golden moment when winter loosens and the kettles sing, earthy and sweet with a faint trace of smoke.

Finely milled in the stillroom, this talc-free powder softens skin, freshens linens, and carries the warmth of sugaring into your keeping.

Ingredients

Talc-free. Cornstarch-free.
Organic arrowroot, kaolin & bentonite clays, premium fragrance and essential oils (maple accord, golden sugar, woodsmoke). Gentle, breathable, and suitable for everyday use.

How to Use

  • After-bath body powder — Dust lightly on clean, dry skin for a soft finish and subtle sugared scent.
  • Linen & drawer freshener — Sprinkle between folded quilts and winter linens, or tuck into sachets.
  • Everyday ritual — A farmhouse comfort to carry into every season, best layered with other scents from the Honeyed & Hearth Collection.

Care & Storage

Keep this organic body powder cool and dry, tucked away as you would any pantry staple. As with any fragrance, patch test if skin is sensitive. Store the vintage apothecary cards and coin envelopes away from direct sunlight — inks and papers last longest when tended with the same care as jars on the kitchen shelf.

Archive Margins — Sugared Sap

The candy thermometer keeps steady watch as the finishing pot boils, steam clouding the glass well past supper. Behind it, crocks stand in a row, filled with rosemary and nasturtium salts for the kitchen — stillroom alchemy waiting its turn. Sugaring season is never just one task, but the whole rhythm of a farmhouse day, carrying sweetness and salt together until the work is done.
