Organic Dill Seed – Whole Culinary & Herbal Spice | Anethum graveolens | Grown at LizzyLane Farm

Fragrant and full of heritage, this small-batch dill seed is grown and gathered right here on our New Hampshire farm. A kitchen favorite and traditional herbal ally.

Herbal Overview

With its warm, citrusy aroma and caraway-like bite, dill seed has long earned its place in both the spice jar and the herbal cabinet. A bright, bold seed perfect for pickles, soups, breads, and herbal tea, it brings a touch of sunshine to everything it’s added to.

What makes this batch especially meaningful is where it comes from, right here at LizzyLane Farm, grown just outside the garden gate in soil that's been loved for generations. The original seed stock was gifted over 20 years ago by a dear neighbor, and since then, it’s been lovingly saved season after season. We grow just enough for the kitchen and the shop—and when the seed is gone for the year, it’s gone.

Hand-harvested and dried on the farm, this dill seed carries more than flavor—it carries a thread of tradition, memory, and time well spent in the garden.

This General Store Parcel Wrap style brings to mind old spice drawers and local seed exchanges. We recommend transferring to a small glass jar for best keeping.

Stillroom Notes

Dill seed is one of those quiet companions of summer. We plant it along the edges of the vegetable rows where it happily reseeds itself year after year. Every jar of pickles and every bowl of summer stew seems to call for just a pinch, so we gather, save, and share what we can.
