Organic Mullein Leaf – Dried Herbal Wellness Tea & Folk Magic Herb | Verbascum thapsus | Calming, Protective & Soothing
Velvety, grounding, and steeped in tradition—this organic mullein leaf brings with it the quiet power of healing and ancestral comfort.
Herbal Overview
Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) is one of those herbs that seems to live between two worlds—equal parts remedy and ritual. Known by names like Great Mullein, Candlewick Plant, and Hag’s Taper, it’s been used for centuries to support respiratory health, ease aching joints, ward off nightmares, and even light the way with its dried leaves and stems once used as torches.
Our organic mullein leaf is grown and dried in the U.S., soft as wool and deeply rooted in herbal tradition. It’s a favorite for tea blends supporting the lungs, especially when the air grows dry or the seasons shift. In the apothecary, it’s blended into oils, salves, and steams, and in the folk tradition, it’s tucked into dream pillows for restful sleep and spirit protection.
From easing sore throats to comforting restless minds, mullein is a bridge between the herbal and the mystical. Gentle, powerful, and always close to the heart.

This rustic style honors the traditional ways of keeping herbs dry, protected, and ready for everyday use. We recommend transferring to a glass jar for long-term storage.
Stillroom Notes
Mullein grows tall and steady in the corners of our land, as if standing watch. It’s one of those herbs we keep close by in all seasons—woven into sleep blends, steeped into teas, and gently tucked into sachets under pillows. My favorite use is still the simplest: a dream pillow filled with mullein to hush nightmares and welcome peaceful dreams.
