Mepoco Art Deco Caister Canister Set – 7-Piece German Porcelain Lusterware – Heirloom Housewares Collection – Piece No. 12
Once a cherished part of our own summer kitchen, this rare 7-piece German porcelain canister set is now offered with care as part of our Heirloom Housewares collection — a deeply storied grouping full of bold colors, elegant florals, and timeless art deco form.
Produced by Mepoco between the 1920s and 1940s during wartime Germany, this striking set features six lidded canisters and a wall-hanging salt cellar, each made from fine porcelain lusterware. The top and lid areas are painted in a now back-in-style mustard yellow, bordered in navy blue, accented by lilac dots, and dressed with soft pink roses and yellow blossoms.
Each canister is hand-detailed with black striping, gold script lettering, and an unmistakable vintage white body. This is Mepoco mold #2065, one of the most beautifully balanced patterns and color combinations we've come across in our years of collecting.
Each piece is artist- and maker-marked on the base.
