Lavender Stillroom Salve

A small jar to keep close.

This was one of the first remedies we ever made — once passed across farmhouse porches and beneath canvas tents at early craft fairs. It hasn’t changed.

Now it simply lives where it’s needed.

Beside the kitchen sink.
On the bedside table in late winter.
Near the sewing basket.
On the edge of the vanity tray.

Inside the petite glass honey pot, whole lavender buds rest beneath the surface — part of the infusion itself, the first to be gathered when opened. They are not decoration, but the herb made visible.

Triple-infused organic French lavender, steeped slowly into sunflower, avocado, argan, and jojoba oils. Lightly thickened with beeswax and a touch of bayberry wax. Softened with three varieties of lavender essential oil and the faintest whisper of ylang ylang.

It’s especially welcome in these last weeks of winter — when hands are dry from dishwater and cold air, and somewhere in warmer yards, the daffodils are already lifting their heads.
