A Small Winter Light
A small winter find — three white beeswax pinecone candles rediscovered this season in the stillroom’s save-for-later trunk, set aside years ago during quieter candle-making days.
Cast from pure beeswax and left snow-white and unadorned, each candle carries the faint, natural scent of honeyed wax and burns cleanly with a steady, gentle flame. Shaped like the small cones gathered along the balsam edge of the yard, it’s a simple winter object — meant to be lit, not saved.
One small light, for the last weeks of the season.
