A Dusting Powder for Cozy Rooms and Winter Light

Across old New England farmhouses, glass milk bottles once clinked against snowy porches at daybreak — clear glass catching pale winter light. Gathered over the years from barn sales, antique shops, and quiet shelves, these authentic vintage pint milk bottles now hold a generous 8.5 ounces of freshly milled Midwinter powder.

Refilled in the modern stillroom, they offer a simple, useful way to carry winter forward — to replenish crocks, dishes, shakers, and tins as the season settles and begins to turn.

Not decorative. Not precious. Just a working winter vessel, meant to be used.

Choose from Pressed Balsam (Field No. 231) or Winter Linen (Field No. 232) two scents gathered for the cold months, meant to be poured, gifted, or stored as the season turns.

Refillable, reusable, and meant to be kept — just like the milk bottles in old farmhouse cupboards.

Field Notes

  • Type: Vintage pint milk bottle refill · talc-free dusting powder. 8.5 oz (generous refill quantity)

About the Collection

The Midwinter Archive is a limited gathering of Stillroom pieces, vintage crocks, Salton jars, milk bottles, and powder dishes,  sample powders, and silver tins; each filled or paired with seasonal Stillroom powders made only for this chapter.

Every scent, label, and Field Note card is part of a numbered release — collectible, giftable, and rooted in New England stillroom tradition.

To hold one is to keep a fragment of the season; to gather them is to collect the Archive itself.
