Description

Vintage Horse Harness Brass used to decorate draft horses as well as powerful charms. Some still claim to this day they are amulets to ward off evil spirits. The Horniman Museum has a similar horse brass, collected in Surrey by Edward Lovett, which the label says was carried by a soldier as an amulet during World War I, and which is also described as a "lunar object".

Horses symbolize movement, strength, virtue, co-operation.

The moon symbolizes femininity. The crescent moon represents being receptive.

Size

These beautify aged crescent moon horse brass are about 3" in diameter. All have a beautiful patina, which you could polish if you wished.
