Our bay leaf are specially grown in Turkey on small family farms. Ours are mostly whole but quite a few will have broken edges.
Mediterranean Bay Leave or bay laurel have a bitter, spicy, strong, and pungent flavor, with a cooling undertone. The taste is “piney”, with hints of clove, nutmeg, and camphor. It is also known as Laurel Leaf, Bay Laurel, Sweet Bay, Sweet Laurel, or simply as Bay Herb.
Used for Bay leaf Tea, magical uses, cooking, crafts, smudging no wonder these are so important in the food pantry.
