I'm so excited to be working on changing our shop over to all free shipping. Not everything is there yet, but I'm working on it. Check the details tab of a listing to see if it ships free.
Today's Blend Potpourri is rightly named. Each morning the first thing I do in the Workshop is blending a large batch of Potpourri. I never know what is going into it or even the scent until I start opening those beautiful jars of dried herbs and flowers.
I like to include a small sample of it with each packed order for the day. It's just a little thank you and my desire to share joy. I hope no one expects it to be duplicated for a large order, I don't write anything down. :) But I sure could try if I needed to.

This ritual happens every 8 weeks and I just love it!
The process of saying hello to my special herbs just for this dream oil then infusing them in our window sill. Many of the herbs are wild crafted from my special secret spots this time of year. I set aside a day or two to collect them, enjoy the quiet of the area then set them to solar dry. Next is the process of cleaning the dried herbs and dividing them into 8 special jars. The jars are special because they are antique blue Ball mason jars from my personal collection. Each speaks to me in different ways; it might be the waviness of the glass or an air bubble in the glass that reminds me of something.
Some of these herbs don't grow local to me and I trade with fellow herb loving friends from far and near. The relationships I have with these people have evolved over many years and we stay in touch often. Some I have even had the joy of meeting in person!
I truly enjoy the process and the fact that I can pass this joy onto my friends both in person and via the internet.
Our dream oil is a powerful herbal oil and I would suggest to use it only a few nights a week, some nights just need sound restful sleep. Lucid dreaming is thought to help see into the future, helping to sort troubling times out, invite serene, peaceful and relaxing energy into your life.
This beautifully scented herbal oil should be applied to your third eye and any other chakra points, wrists, ankles, bottom of your feet or any place your energy is drawn from.
🔅Â I have to tell you...this dreaming oil contains some of the most amazing mugwort I have worked with, every single time I have used it, my dreams have been so detailed, vivid and at times disturbing. I suggest using this oil when you are well rested.
Made from a strong herbal solar infusion of pure Olive oil, Mugwort, Anise, Roses, Lemongrass, Chamomile, Sage, Spike Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary sprigs and Mullein; all herbs known through time to inspire lucid dreams.
The recycled glass bottles our oil is sold in are beautiful in their own way with their deep blue color fading to clear. These bottles have a dropper cap to dispense just a drop or two.

✿🍃 {We have decided to go Palm Free!... } ✿🍃
We have always used organic, fair trade & GMO free ingredients and we are always working to make a good thing better. Palm oil is linked to major environmental & social issues such as deforestation, habitat destruction, climate change, pollution, animal cruelty, and indigenous rights abuses. The forests are being cleared for the development of oil palm plantations.
The World Wildlife Fund reports, an area the size of 300 football fields of rainforest is cleared each hour to make way for palm oil production. This enormous deforestation is pushing many species to the brink of extinction and contributing to environmental damage. These heart breaking consequences are the reasons we are eliminating the use of palm oil and its byproducts in our products.
If in the next few days and weeks you notice our ingredients lists still contain palm oil it is because we are still working on changing the many places our ingredients are listed. Rest assured we have donated all of our palm oil and any product that contained palm oil to a local shelter.
We just thought you would like to know.
Radish is part of our Market Collection- the scent is rich spics and sultry.
Sit a Spell is the dead on scent of fresh ice cold sweet tea...

I have been asked quite a bit lately why we offer only unscented beeswax candles and what is so great about them? I had to really stop and think because that’s the way I have always burnt them, how could the natural scent be improved on I thought. My answer to myself was, it can’t be improved, beeswax has such a mellow, honey like natural scent why would I want to change that?
I love burning beeswax candles because they throw a mellow natural light, I truly enjoy!
It is reported that beeswax candles emit negative ions to purify, cleanse, improve air quality, and invigorate the body. A plus in my book.
Beeswax is a true gift from nature; it is both rare and expensive. Beeswax costs about 10 times more than paraffin or even soy. It is estimated that the bees must fly 150,000 miles to collect enough nectar to produce 6 pounds of honey to secrete 1 pound of wax. Did you know for every 100 pounds of honey harvested, the beekeeper can only collect about 1-2 pounds of the beeswax. That’s a lot of work for the bees and their keepers.
“Lovelier with age” they say about many things and beeswax candles are no exception. Over time, beeswax develops a whitish film called a “bloom” (especially in a cooler climate), which is very lovely and adds charm to your candles. In fact older candles burn longer than newer ones.
You will want to look for candles marked as 100% beeswax, since there are no regulations regarding purity some candles can be up to 95% paraffin wax with only a tiny bit of true beeswax. Here at the farm you can be assured our beeswax candles are 100% beeswax, I wouldn’t use an inferior candle and wouldn’t offer one to you either.
One of my favorite features is that beeswax is Hypo-allergenic and can benefit those with environmental allergies, sensitivities & asthma. Another plus of natural scented beeswax (no added fragrances )makes them a great choice for anyone with sensitivities to other candles or fragrances. With allergy sufferers in our home I know first-hand that for us, beeswax candles don’t trigger symptoms where some scented or other wax based candles will.
Candles of pure beeswax are a must for meal time; the natural scent doesn’t compete with the yummy aromas of your meals. I once sat for dinner at a friend’s home where she lit candles for dinner and let me tell you the combined scents of pot roast and roses was not a happy time for me. My favorite candles for the dinner table are our pillar candles. I love the height and shape, but I also have had fun at picnics with our pine cone candles and our snowball candles during the winter season.
A few care tips for your candles

Hello and welcome to our home; Lizzy Lane Farm,
Our goal is to provide you with top quality products, usable information and the inspiration for your family and home to help you live your simple, natural life.
From our family to yours….
Our natural and organic products are all made right here in our farmhouse summer kitchen. City folk would want to call it a studio, but our summer kitchen is more than that, it’s a place where we work, share ideas and a good picnic every now and then. It’s a place where the children have their own area to work and play, while the adults get some of our own work done. A place where the environment is calm, ideas & people can grow and be themselves. If not in the house this is where you will most likely find us spending family time.
Our hope is to provide you with the materials you need to craft your own natural and organic products your family needs, and if you don’t have the time we have done the hard part for you and they are ready to ship for you to enjoy, and share.
Who we are and want to become…
My name is Karyn and I’m a Mother, Wife and Grandmother. As a child I worked side by side with my Grandmother & Mother in the family gardens, becoming friends with each and every variety. Helped with the cooking, canning, sewing and caring for my younger sisters.
Over the years being self sufficient and self-reliant were daily events and today this continues here at the farm, but is becoming lost bits of knowledge in today’s world.
I still grown our own organic vegetables & meats and can up about 600 jars for our winter pantry. Our meals are made from natural ingredients and nothing would ever come from a box.
Dick grew up in a large loving country living family. They also grew gardens, canned for the winter pantry, logged with horses and lived a good hard working honest life with a family full of respect and love.
Mark, Brett, Daisy & Shaye are learning these traditions and values with their responsibilities on the farm. They care for the animals, do repairs and any other task asked of them.
Our generation is a dynamic, energetic, discerning and passionate team. If it’s not good enough for our family it’s not going to be offered to you and your family. Our family farm & on line store, Lizzy Lane Farm, continues this legacy & offers you the same commitment to family, friends, community instilled in us at an early age.
Our working farm now includes Sage and Joby Jingles- registered Haflinger horses, heritage breed Narragenset turkeys (one is a pet named Bubbles), heritage breed Delaware, Golden Comet and Black Java chickens (Fire Cracker is our rooster), adopted chickens, happy, comical ducks named Lucky & Ducky, barn kitties and the official farm greeter, a lazy, over privileged and much loved beagle named Dalton Walton.
So who was Lizzy Lane...
Lizzy Lane was a descendant of one of the original families to found our hometown back in the 1700’s. In her time the farm was prosperous with many vegetable, herb, fruit, flower gardens. She was a woman ahead of her time with a dedication to the natural methods of farming, cooking, and living becoming popular today, she loved and cared for her family, friends and community. It was not uncommon for any one to be walking by to be offered a pear from one of her well-loved pear trees.
She is one of my heroes, I admire her connection to and love of her family, nature and her free spirit to help whom ever and when ever she could.
